UPDATE: HBO has officially renewed the show, ordering a 12-episode third season.

Two episodes in to the second season and HBO has already decided to bring back "Girls" for a third season. Variety is reporting that while the network hasn't confirmed anything, Lena Dunham told Alec Baldwin on a podcast that production on the third season is set to begin in March. "Girls" has been quite a success for HBO, both critically and ratings wise. The second season premiere brought in 1.6 million views over three showings. The show also won the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series back on Jan. 13.
