BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) — Bemidji State University will host the inaugural Headwaters Film Festival next month.
The three-day festival begins July 19 and will highlight the work of more than a half-dozen Minnesota filmmakers.
Film screenings and panel discussions will be held.
Author Will Weaver will introduce "Sweet Land," a 2005 film based on his short story, "A Gravestone Made of Wheat." Weaver will introduce the film at 7 p.m. July 20 in Bemidji State's Thompson Recital Hall. A 30-minute Q&A will follow the screening, with film director Ali Selim joining the session via Skype.
Admission is $10 per session for each of the festival's three ticketed sessions. An all-session pass can be purchased for $25.
