Henderson St. selects 5 finalists for provost job

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (AP) — A Henderson State University committee has picked five finalists in its search for a new provost and vice president of academic affairs.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports ( ) the finalists are scheduled to visit campus the next two weeks.

The finalists include Risa Dickson, associate provost for academic personnel and professor of communication studies at California State University, San Bernardino; Martin Eisenberg, associate provost at Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo.; and Georgia Hale, dean of the College of Applied Science and Technology at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.

The other finalists are Brenda Nichols, dean of College of Arts & Sciences at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and Robert Scott Jr., dean and professor of the College of Education and Technology at Fort Hays State University in Kansas.
