One new “public affairs specialist” is headed to the Department of Health and Human Services, according to a new HHS job posting about the six-figure job opening.

“As a Public Affairs Specialist in the Office of the Chief Operations (COO), Division of Communications (DOC), in the Office of the Assistant Secretary Preparedness and Response (ASPR), you will support the formation of goals, objectives, plans and strategies for the ASPR  public affairs program; executing campaigns and outreach efforts designed to communication information about ASPR activities to a wide variety of internal and external audiences,” HHS says at USA Jobs. The department is taking application until April 10th.

The salary ranges between  $105,211.00 and $136,771.00. President Obama has decided to return five percent of his $400,000 salary — $20,000 — to the Treasury as a show of solidarity with the federal employees who will be furloughed under the sequester.
