Hillary Clinton should be elected for being a woman, says Washington Post

If not voting for Hillary Clinton because she's a woman is sexist, isn't voting for her just because she's a woman also sexist?

Washington Post reporter Nia-Malika Henderson penned a “note to Hillary Clinton,” telling the former secretary of state and first lady to stress her gender rather than any tangible reason she should be president.

As evidence, Henderson cited a recent Gallup poll that showed Clinton's top selling point is that she would be the “first female president.”

Nothing else in the poll even came close. Eighteen percent said the most positive thing about a Clinton presidency is her gender. Her second-most positive attribute is her foreign policy experience, followed by the notion that she is the "best choice."

Is this what America has become? Do we now just vote for people because they would be the first female president? If that’s true, Democrats have already figured out how to run the country for decades to come.
