Hip hip hooray -- some of the first details are coming out about some of the parties coming our way for inauguration. Russell Simmons announced last week that there would be a Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball taking place the Sunday night before Inauguration on Jan. 20, 2013, at the Harman Center for the Arts. This is the second times Simmons has hosted such a ball, which is supposed to celebrate the Hip-Hop community's role in the presidential election. Last time around the party attracted guests like LL Cool J, T.I., Tiny, Nick Cannon, Busta Rhymes, Young Jeezy, Ashanti, Trey Songz and Bow Wow. And party organizers hope to bring in the same crop of stars. Tickets are available for the black tie affair, but for a pretty penny. They range from $500 to $2,500 with all proceeds going to the charity Philanthropik.
