< p>McCONNELLS, S.C. (AP) — Costumed interpreters and candlelit walks are part of Historic Brattonsville's Christmas tours.

The living history village and Revolutionary War site in York County invites visitors to "experience a Southern-style Christmas in the Carolina backcountry." The events are scheduled for Saturday and agains on Dec. 15 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Brattonville's Christmas Candlelight Tours feature five interpretive venues, playing out scenes from 1781 and 1851. The scenes will depict how people at the Bratton Plantation would have celebrated Christmas in those years.

Scenes will start with 1851 and move backward, ending with a tavern party celebrating the defeat of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown in 1781.

Historic Brattonsville is a 775-acre site operated by York County's Culture and Heritage Museums.
