JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is scheduled to speak Thursday at the investiture of Gregory Davis as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi.
The event will be held at the Jackson Convention Center in downtown Jackson at 2 p.m.
Davis co-founded the law firm Davis, Goss & Williams in 1989 and has focused on civil litigation. He worked for the Stamps & Stamps law firm from 1987 to 1989.
Davis earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Mississippi State University in 1984 and a law degree from Tulane University in 1987.
Davis was confirmed by the Senate last year.
