House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said Friday that Secretary of State John Kerry no longer needs to testify before his panel about the deadly Benghazi attack. Issa’s decision came after Kerry had finally agreed to appear before the committee, after being twice subpoenaed to testify. Kerry’s appearance June 12 was designed to “remove any need” for the secretary to appear before a GOP-led special committee that has been created specifically to delve into what happened in the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Libya that left four Americans dead.
