The $785 in parking and moving violation tickets racked up by the car assigned to the director of the D.C. Department of Human Services will be paid by the employees who were using the 2005 Crown Victoria when the tickets were issued, a DHS spokesman said. The Washington Examiner reported on Tuesday that nearly half of the city's agency chiefs have cars assigned to them for personal use and that those vehicles have racked up more than $2,500 in tickets. The $785 in tickets issued to the vehicle assigned to the DHS director was more than any other agency. All of the tickets were issued before interim DHS Director Deborah Carroll took office on Feb. 28.
