India and South Korea welcomed the progress made in the POSCO steel plant project in Odisha, and agreed Thursday to continue to cooperate for the successful implementation of the project. In the joint statement issued after summit-level talks between South Korean President Park Geun-hye and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the two leaders hoped that POSCO would start work on the project at an early date. Both countries have agreed to expand and deepen their economic relationship and reaffirmed their commitment to exploring measures for more comprehensive economic cooperation.
