Mount Sinabung, one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia, erupted again Saturday, shooting a column of ash hundreds of meters in the sky as the number of evacuees rose. According to a spokesman of the national disaster agency, powerful bursts of hot ash and gravel erupted from the rumbling volcano, located in the Karo district of North Sumatra. The crater erupted at least 30 times since Saturday morning. Hot ash pushed authorities to extend the evacuation zone from five to 20 kilometers.
