DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz is showing off the state's use of mobile technology at the National Association of Secretaries of State meeting in Washington.

As one of the first states to launch a mobile app for voters in the November election, Schultz was asked to present at the Voter Participation Committee meeting on Friday.

Schultz says Iowa's app allows voters to find their polling place, confirm they're registered to vote, request an absentee ballot, track an absentee ballot, open an election calendar, and report voter fraud.

The app, which was released in October, is available free for iPhone, iPad, and Android operating systems.

Schultz is co-chairman of the voter participation committee with Connecticut Secretary of State Denise Merrill.
