The head of the IAEA said on Monday, Iran has begun implementing nuclear transparency measures ahead of an Aug. 25 deadline agreed with the United Nations atomic watchdog. International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Yukiya Amano told reporters at Vienna airport on his return from Tehran, "The implementation of these five measures started." Amano, who met senior Iranian officials in Tehran after securing what he called on Sunday a firm commitment to cooperate with the IAEA's long-running inquiry into Iran's disputed nuclear program, said he expects "that progress will be made over the next week."
