INTERNATIONAL CEASEFIRE EFFORTS AND PLANS TO EXPAND THE OFFENSIVE IN GAZA ARE BOTH EXPECTED TO BE ON THE TABLE, WHEN ISRAEL'S SECURITY CABINET MEETS FRIDAY.

THERE'S ALSO WORD OF A PROPOSED WEEK-LONG HUMANITARIAN PAUSE IN THE FIGHTING.

A PALESTINIAN HEALTH OFFICIAL NOW SAYS MORE THAN 800 PALESTINIANS HAVE DIED IN THE VIOLENCE.

MORE THAN 30 ISRAELIS, MOSTLY SOLDIERS, HAVE ALSO BEEN KILLED, AS ISRAEL GOES AFTER HAMAS ROCKETS AND TUNNELS.

PALESTINIANS BLAME ISRAEL FOR A DEADLY ATTACK ON A UNITED NATIONS SCHOOL IN GAZA WHERE RESIDENTS WERE TAKING SHELTER ON THURSDAY.
