NBC reports that Rep. Steve Cohen was saying “I love you” on Twitter to his actual daughter – not the daughter of a friend as was his original story.

Cohen deleted the tweets after he realized that his private direct messages were actually sent to the public.

Cohen admitted that he discovered that 24-year-old Victoria Brink was his daughter about three years ago.

“I Googled her mother, found out she had a child and the math looked pretty accurate,” Cohen said, according to NBC. “The mom told me we had a lot of catching up to do.”
