Janesville Gazette editor named Wis. AP president

MIDDLETON, Wis. (AP) — Sid Schwartz, local news editor at The Janesville Gazette, has been elected president of the Wisconsin Associated Press Editors Association.

He succeeds Ross Evavold, editor and general manager of The Chippewa Herald in Chippewa Falls.

Pete Wasson, assistant managing editor at the Wausau Daily Herald; Aaron Holbrook, editor of the Daily Citizen in Beaver Dam; and Amber Paluch, community engagement editor at the Green Bay Press-Gazette, were elected to the board.

The selections were made Thursday at the association's annual meeting in Waukesha.

The association is made up of editors of Wisconsin daily newspapers that are members of The Associated Press.
