White House press secretary Jay Carney insisted Wednesday that he would enroll in Obamacare were he not already covered by his federal health plan.

“If I did not have employer-provided health insurance ... I would absolutely enroll,” Carney said during his daily briefing with reporters Wednesday.

But as Carney conceded, he won’t enroll — at least as long as he works in the White House.

Starting Oct. 1, Americans who don’t receive health coverage through their employers can sign up for Obamacare exchanges.

The White House launched a major public-relations push this week to convince skeptical Americans to sign up for the health program.
