Former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-Fla., opened his Republican National Convention speech with praise for his brother and derision for President Obama’s habit of blaming the trials of his presidency on George W. Bush.

“Mr. President, it is time to stop blaming your predecessor for your failed economic policies,” Jeb Bush said in Tampa. “In your fourth year of your presidency, a real leader would have accepted responsibility for his policies, and you haven’t done it.”

The younger son of George H.W. Bush also praised Bush 43.  “I love my brother,” he said. “During incredibly challenging times, he kept us safe.”
