John Mayer is finally admitting something everyone else has known for quite some time.

He's a jerk.

The singer said during an interview with CBS on Sunday morning that he has exhibited bad behavior in the past and has put his foot in his mouth when talking about exes, but he says he's turned over a new leaf.

"I was just a jerk," John said, who once referred to his ex Jessica Simpson as "sexual napalm." "I wanted everybody to like me."

John also cried victim last year when another ex, Taylor Swift, penned a song that appeared to be about him called "Dear John."

"It made me feel terrible," he said at the time. "Because I didn't deserve it."

But now John claims he's moved on. "It's very liberating when you finally realize it's impossible to make everyone like you," he said.

John, who has also dated big names such as Jennifer Aniston, Minka Kelly and Jennifer Love Hewitt, is currently in an on-again, off-again relationship with Katy Perry.

Getting messier

Chris Brown's day in court Wednesday was eventful. But not because of what the judge said.

Chris was in court for a probation violation hearing stemming from his 2009 felony assault on then (and now) girlfriend, Rihanna.

And who did Chris bring with him. Well, Rihanna, of course.

But why did Breezy bring her along?

According to E! News, the R&B star brought his Barbadian beauty with him for "support."

At a news conference after the hearing, Chris' attorney said Rihanna thinks it's "utterly ridiculous" that her man is accused of falsifying his community service records.

The public seems to be split on whether it's helping or hurting Chris to have RiRi at his side during the hearings.

Either way, it's messy.
