Brian Ross's ridiculous attempted to link the shooter to the Tea Party was too good for frequent media critic Jon Stewart to pass up.
"Brian, I thought you had something significant…" Stewart said, after playing a highlight clip of his report.
Stewart then suggested that Ross probably probably typed the shooter's name into a search engine and hit the "I'm feeling lazy button."
"What does that have to do with anything?" Stewart asked incredulously.
Stewart also mocked Ross for not apologizing for his false report, when he corrected the report hours later.
"This dude isn't even grounded doesn't get detention?" Stewart asked. "You're ABC, sentence him to Wipeout!" he joked.
