Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal defended Law Minister Somnath Bharti Tuesday, asserting his cabinet colleague did not tamper with evidence in a case he was handling last year. But the BJP and Congress attacked Bharti and the BJP demanded he quit. Bharti also defended himself. According to a media report, an order was passed by then CBI Special Judge Poonam A. Bamba in which she cited Bharti and his client Pawan Kumar, who faces prosecution on corruption charges. The CBI accused the two of tampering with a prosecution witness by speaking to him on phone and discussing the case.
