UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Knicks center Tyson Chandler left New York's exhibition game against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night with a sore left knee.

Chandler was hurt on the first possession of the game, falling to the court after a collision with Nets forward Gerald Wallace. Chandler walked to the locker room and a Knicks spokesman said the injury wasn't believed to be serious, but the team saw no reason for their center to return in their last preseason game.

The Knicks, already missing injured big men Amare Stoudemire (knee) and Marcus Camby (calf), open the regular season against the Nets on Nov. 1.
