Indian Congress sources say Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad met Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday, to discuss an electoral alliance in Bihar. Sources say it was Lalu Prasad's second meeting with Gandhi this month. A Congress leader told IANS, "A secular alliance is likely in Bihar, but the announcement would take some time." He said the alliance was likely to involve the RJD, Congress, the Lok Janshakti Party, and the Nationalist Congress Party. Party sources said Lalu Prasad's meeting with Rahul Gandhi came a day after senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh met LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan.
