BAKER, Calif. (AP) — All landline phone service, including access to 911 emergency lines, has been restored to the Mojave Desert town of Baker.

San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller says service was restored Tuesday morning.

It was knocked out Sunday morning by a fire in an AT&T building.

During the outage, cellular service remained available.

Baker is a town of about 700 people on the southern edge of Death Valley.
