"Law & Order," the stalwart series that pioneered the "ripped from the headlines" mode of storytelling, is apparently getting exasperated with the speed at which the Petraeus scandal is unfolding. "Law & Order: SVU" showrunner Warren Leight tweeted a message on Tuesday to the scandal's players.

"Memo to: FBI/CIA," read Leight's tweet. "From: SVU Writers' Room -- Please slow it down, we're having a hard time getting this all down."

We hope this means Detective Benson will soon be hauling in a shirtless NYPD officer for questioning after sending naughty photos to a Manhattan socialite who's being harassed by the former mistress/biographer of the head of the New York National Guard.
