Local AARP spelling champ nails it again

Michael Petrina Jr., a 67-year-old resident of Arlington, took the top prize for the second time at the AARP National Spelling Bee on Saturday. The retired attorney beat out the field, which included four of his cousins, by correctly spelling "rhizoctonia," which is "a type of imperfect fungi."
