Ingmar Guandique, the 29-year-old man on trial for allegedly murdering Chandra Levy, appeared in court again Monday wearing a turtleneck that hides his gang tattoos.
Guandique also added a gray sweater vest over the pale yellow turtleneck, making him look more beatnik than MS-13.
Guandique isn’t the first person to try to hide tattoos in a courtroom. A judge in Florida approved paying a makeup artist to cover up swastikas and other tattoos on a a neo-Nazi murder defendant, saying the ink might prejudice the jurors.
