A federal grand jury has indicted a man on charges of trafficking a 15-year-old Maryland girl for sex.
The indictment charges Duane Mason with sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and use of interstate facilities to transmit information about a minor.
The indictment calls Mason a resident of the District and Maryland and says he also goes by the names Troy Dickerson and “Z-way.” The indictment alleges he took the girl to the District and told her to walk in an area known for prostitution and took photographs of her in sexually explicit poses, then posted them on the “escort” section of backpage.com. He allegedly rented a room at Gaithersburg motel for her to use during “dates.”
The indictment also says Mason targeted adult female prostitutes and gave the girl and adult prostitutes money, food and clothing in exchange for commercial sex acts.
