Candlelight vigil for woman killed in Third Street Tunnel

A candlelight vigil will be held Friday night for the 23-year-old D.C. woman who was killed when her car struck a city truck in the Third Street Tunnel.

Friends said 23-year-old Haja Seymore-Wilson recently earned a degree in banking and finance from Bowie State University and lived in the Sursum Corda area of D.C. with her parents. Early Tuesday, her car struck a D.C. Department of Public Works vehicle that was stopped for crews to work on cleanup of the the tunnel.

The vigil for Wilson will begin at 7 p.m. at 1114 McKenna Walk NW. The group will walk over to New York Avenue playground at First and M streets Northwest.
