Montgomery County police are on the lookout for a masked man who robbed a Potomac bank at gunpoint.
Police said the heist happened at about 9:40 a.m. Friday at the M&T Bank branch located at 10100 River Road.
The robber entered the bank, approached a teller while brandishing a handgun and demanded cash, police said. The man fled on foot from the bank's front door toward River Road, then to the rear of the shopping center where the branch is located.
Police didn't disclose how much cash the robber obtained. No one was injured during the robbery.
A police spokeswoman said Monday that investigators had no new leads in the case.
The man is described as white, about 6-feet-tall and having a medium-to-heavyset build. He was carrying a black handgun and umbrella during the robbery.
At the time of the heist, he was wearing a white plastic mask that covered his face, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a gray camouflage-colored baseball hat, gloves, a black scarf and a white jacket.
Anyone who has information about the robbery is asked to call police at 240-773-5100 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can also send a text message that says "MCPD" and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
