The Loudoun County sheriff's office is investigating a home invasion-style robbery that took place Tuesday morning.

About 11:30 a.m., sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 13400 block of Loyalty Road in the Taylorstown area.

Residents of the home told law enforcement that four unknown men had entered their residence and brandished a weapon. The victims, who are family members, were held against their will while the intruders removed items from the home, sheriff's office officials said.

After the intruders fled, the residents were able to run to safety and contact the sheriff's office. The victims were not injured during the incident, officials said.

Anyone with information can call the sheriff's office at (703) 777-1021 or Loudoun County Crime Solvers at (703) 777-1919.
