LSU professor receives chemistry award

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Louisiana State University professor Isiah Warner has been selected to receive the American Chemical Society's award in analytical chemistry.

Warner is Boyd professor and vice chancellor of strategic initiatives at LSU.

His research focuses on analytical chemistry as well as development and application of chemical, instrumental and mathematical methods for analytical measurements.

He is a graduate of Southern University and earned a doctorate from the University of Washington. Warner has been on staff at LSU for 20 years.
