ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Magic coach Jacque Vaughn may not have a full complement of players at his disposal so far this preseason, but the evaluation process of those he does have has begun.

The first-year coach says there were a number of positives coming out of Orlando's preseason-opening loss to New Orleans last week, particularly at the center and point guard positions.

E'Twaun Moore, a free agent acquisition battling to backup starting point guard Jameer Nelson, led the Magic in scoring against the Hornets, and both Gustavo Ayon and Nikola Vucevic played well at center.

There are still several players nursing injuries, though, including guard Arron Afflalo and veteran Al Harrington.

It's why Vaughn staged his longest workout to date in preparation for the Magic's home preseason opener against Philadelphia on Thursday.
