This week's Mainstream Media Scream features a regular: MSNBC's Chris Matthews. This time, it's not for his hosting of Hardball, but Andrea Mitchell's daytime show. Wrapping up an interview with Democratic National Committee Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, he cooed, "Congresswoman, I want to congratulate you on one thing that nobody ever gives you credit for, which is uniting the Democratic Party as it's never been united."

Matthews, co-hosting with his wife Kathleen, continued: "And I'm telling you, it's not - I grew up with a Democratic Party that was never united, and you are united. And that's something the Republicans are going to envy you for." A beaming Wasserman Schultz replied: "Thank you. We're very proud of that."

Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains our pick: "Wasserman-Schultz should just go ahead and confirm the obvious and make Matthews the 'Honorary Chairman' of the Democratic National Committee for all he does to cheerlead on her behalf."

Rating: Four out of five screams.
