Our weekly look at the loudest screech from the mainstream media features NBC News veteran Tom Brokaw saying that Comedy Central's Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert satirize conservatives and liberals in equal amounts.

On Sunday's "Meet the Press," Brokaw said, "What these two do - so brilliantly - is that they cut through the hypocrisy and they say, 'hey, wait a minute' on both sides and they do play it pretty much down the middle." He later added: "I never miss 'em."

Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains our pick: "If Brokaw really thinks Stewart and Colbert are just as aggressive in making fun of Obama and liberals as conservatives and Romney, then no wonder he has no qualms about lending his prestige to MSNBC's prime time shows. He probably thinks they're also 'down the middle.'"

Rating: Three out of five screams.
