A 22-year-old man has been shot at a Loudoun County home, authorities said, and another man has been charged in connection with the incident.

About 4:40 p.m. Sunday, sheriff's deputies went to a home in the 20 block of Gannon Way in Sterling and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was airlifted to a hospital and remained hospitalized Monday afternoon, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives have determined that the victim was targeted by two people that he knew. One of these people, 19-year-old Victor D. Lassiter, of Sterling, was taken into custody early Monday morning. Deputies are still searching for a possible second suspect.

Lassiter is charged with robbery, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and malicious wounding, officials said. A sheriff's office spokeswoman would not say what was taken during the incident, citing the ongoing investigation.
