A 31-year-old man was arrested for an assault in a bathroom at a Fairfax County library, county police officials said.

Kevin Lee Porter, of no fixed address, was charged with abduction. He was apprehended on Tuesday afternoon at a restaurant where he works.

On Nov. 6, a 17-year-old girl had been studying at the Thomas Jefferson Library, located at 7415 Arlington Blvd., when she felt that she was being followed. She ducked into the restroom as she was exciting the building, but Porter allegedly followed her in, officials said.

The girl ordered the man to leave, but Porter allegedly refused and touched and pushed her. The victim kicked him and screamed before he fled.
