A 29-year-old man accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail in the Ballston Common Mall is facing both state and federal charges, officials said.
Leon A. Traille Jr. faces state charges of reckless endangerment, attempted malicious bodily injury by use of fire and use of a fire bomb. He was also charged with arson in federal court. Authorities say Traille has no fixed address.
About 12:10 p.m. Thursday, police received a call about a lit bottle being thrown into the Mall's food court. The bottle, which had a cluster of what appeared to be matches attached to it by tape, did not explode, according to a court document. Police said that no one was injured.
Traille, who matched the suspect description, was caught on a surveillance photo exiting the mall, a court document stated. He was apprehended a short time later.
