A man has died after a multi-vehicle crash in Prince William County, police said.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, police went to the crash scene. A 17-year-old girl was driving a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on Dumfries Road near Talon Drive when her car crossed into northbound traffic and struck four other vehicles.

One of the vehicles that was hit was a 2000 Mercury Marquis. Its driver, a 51-year-old Fredericksburg man, was taken to a hospital and died the next morning, police said. The deceased's name will be released after his next of kin is notified.

No one else was injured. The crash is still under investigation, and the Jetta's driver could face charges. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said.
