Man dies in Southeast D.C. shooting

A man died of a gunshot wound Sunday morning, after the Metropolitan Police Department responded to an incident on the 3400 block of Stanton Road SE in D.C.

The man, who police have yet to identify, was conscious and suffering from a gunshot wound when he was located at about 2 a.m. Sunday morning, police said. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died.

A police spokesman said late Sunday morning that they had not yet identified a suspect.
