DOVER, Del. (AP) — Delaware State Police say a man who led troopers on a vehicle chase jumped from the moving car, which then hit a church porch.

It happened about 11:10 a.m. Saturday in Dover. Police say a trooper saw a car commit several traffic violations and pulled the driver over.

Authorities say while the trooper was running a computer check, the driver sped away. The trooper followed and the car traveled into a field. Officers say the man jumped from the moving vehicle, which then crashed into a church porch.

Authorities say the trooper deployed a stun gun and arrested the driver.

Twenty-nine-year-old Terrance A. Oliver of Dover was charged with nearly two dozen traffic offenses. He is being held on $35,514 secured bond.
