Man killed in Southwest D.C.

A man was stabbed and killed in Southwest D.C. early Sunday morning, police said. A suspect has been arrested.

Shortly after midnight Sunday, police went to the 200 block of N Street SW, which is near the Waterfront Metro station. Officers found 45-year-old Stephan Manuel Pool, of Upper Marlboro, suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

D.C. police arrested 27-year-old Leon Allen Smith, of Northeast D.C, that day.

He is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the homicide.
