An unidentified man was fatally shot Sunday morning in the Petworth area.
A D.C. police officer heard multiple gun shots around 3 a.m. Sunday near Georgia Avenue and Park Road. D.C. Fire and Emergency Services arrived at the 3500 block of Georgia Avenue N.W. where they found the victim. There were no signs of life and the medical examiner's office ruled him dead.
There are no suspects at this time. Police have not identified the victim.
