It took rescue crews about 40 minutes to free a man pinned under a rolled-over tractor trailer Thursday in Prince George's County.

Prince George's Fire and EMS units found the overturned truck at a gravel pit in the 14700 block of Gibbons Church Road in Brandywine. The tractor trailer was dumping its load of gravel when it started to list to the left and fell, trapping the driver between the gravel and the truck's cab.

Firefighters stabilized the truck and cut away parts of the cab under which the driver was pinned. The man was finally removed, and was flown to a local hospital, where he is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries to his legs.

Officials did not immediately identify the man.
