Man robs dry cleaners in Northwest D.C.

D.C. police are looking for a man who robbed a dry cleaners in Northwest D.C.

A man with a black handgun robbed Bill's Cleaners, located on the 1300 block of Florida Avenue NW, at about 10:30 on Sept. 26. The suspect, described as a black man in his mid-to-late 20s, demanded an employee open the cash register, then took an unknown amount of cash from the drawer.

Police described the robber as 6 feet tall, with an average build, close cropped hair and an earing in his right ear. The man was last seen wearing a black skull cap, dark pants, and a neon green shirt with a white longsleeve shirt underneath.

Security footage captured the man entering the store and raiding the cash register.

Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Those wishing to remain anonymous can text the department's tip line at 50411.
