Police looking for man who shot, robbed delivery driver
Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed and tried to kill a food delivery driver who was working in Prince George's County.

The Prince George's County Police Department is searching for 20-year-old Wayne Hunter Jr. of Glenarden in connection with the incident.

Police said Hunter shot and robbed the driver as he was trying to make a delivery on the 8400 block of Hamlin Street last week.

Hunter is charged with attempted murder and armed robbery.

Manslaughter conviction in slaying over dog
A jury found a District man guilty of manslaughter after he killed a man while arguing over a dog.

Ellsworth Colbert, 57, killed Robert L. Wright, 37, in March 2012 in the 3500 block of Pope Street SE after Wright's dog walked on Colbert's property.

Colbert confronted Wright about his dog, and the argument moved to the 3600 block of Highwood Drive. Colbert lunged at Wright and cut him in the neck with a knife. Wright retreated and grabbed a shovel, then Colbert tackled Wright in the street.

Wright died of stab wounds sustained to his back, chest and abdomen.

Colbert was found guilty of manslaughter while armed, assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a dangerous weapon. He faces a maximum of 45 years in prison.
