Man stabbed in southeastern D.C.

A man was stabbed in southeastern D.C. on Saturday night.

Police say the victim, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital after he was injured around 9:05 p.m. on the 4000 block of Ames Street NE.

The suspect, a 5-foot 8-inch, 155-pound black male, was wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans and fled the scene after the stabbing, police said.

Neither the condition nor the identity of the victim have been released.
