A 69-year-old man has been stabbed in his Woodbridge home, police said.

Shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, two men reportedly forced their way into the victim's residence on Del Mar Drive. One of the men stabbed the victim with a knife, and the men fled in the victim's car, Prince William County police said. The victim was flown to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The stabber is known to the victim's family. Authorities know his name, but are not releasing it until they have obtained warrants, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said.

The victim's vehicle is described as a 1991, white Buick Regal four-door sedan with Virginia tag 382506.
