A man tried to kidnap a teenager from a Silver Spring McDonald's on Friday afternoon, police say.
A 13-year-old boy was waiting at the counter when the man entered, grabbed him from behind and tried to drag him outside. The man said he was with the police and that the boy was under arrest. A security guard intervened in the struggle, and the suspect let go, then walked towards the Metro station.
Montgomery County police describe the man as black, heavy-set, mid-50s, with short balding hair and a beard.
